About Oma

About the name OMA

Why Oma? We’re glad you asked. Our name is inspired by our founder, Dr. Karen Jongedijk’s grandmother, who was known as Oma. When you’re here with us, our goal is that you feel the way she made her grandchildren feel: safe, cared for, and at home.

Please feel free to browse our site for more information about us, the services we offer, and how we can help you live your best life. If you have questions or would like to book a treatment, please feel free to reach out at any time.

Being part of Riverside…

Oma has been part of the historic Riverside Neighbourhood in Toronto for over 12 years. We love how it feels like a small village amongst a bustling big city. We are actively engaged in the local BIA and intentionally contribute in making this Queen St east stretch a welcoming community for everyone.

The Sports Heritage & Legacy Murals which now adorn the west wall of our building were painted by local artist Monica Wickeler, and celebrates the ongoing importance of sport within Riverside.

Oma has been part of many individuals’ and families’ ongoing self care and wellness routines for years. With our practice continuing to expand and evolve, we look forward to being part of your life and health in the years to come!
